This week, I was in New York to deliver Canada's speech at the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly. In the face of a complex and changing geopolitical landscape, I reiterated Canada's ability to lead and to work with our global allies and partners toward a world where prosperity is shared, security is collective and peace is lasting.
The core identity of Canada's foreign policy rests on three pillars:
➨ Defense and security to keep Canadians safe and strengthen our sovereignty
➨ Economic resilience through diversifying trade, strengthening supply chains, and being an attractive destination for capital investment
➨ Enshrining our core values by promoting democracy and pluralism, balancing and maintaining human rights, fostering equality, and protecting and safeguarding our environment

I am pleased to announce that the application period for the 2025 House of Commons Page Program is open now until the deadline on November 9, 2025. Click here to learn more about the program and to submit your application today!
The harvest holidays of Thanksgiving and Sukkot are just around the corner, and my thoughts are with the residents of Oakville East. As you celebrate with family and friends during this season of harvest, I extend my best wishes to all for a Happy Thanksgiving and a joyful Sukkot.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2025
Thank you Jody and Grandmother’s Voice for the songs, circle and walk to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Your words about the injustices perpetrated by the residential school system were so powerful. We have more work to do and paths to walk together.
